Something that is regularly overlooked is the cleanliness of the snorkel we use.  We stick these things in our mouths never realising that they should be cleaned frequently and even replaced every couple of years.

This snorkel comes with a specially moulded clear tip that dramatically reduces water entering the tip in rough conditions.

The clear silicone mouthpiece is an important feature enabling inspection for mould and other contaminants that can gather inside the tube.  The photo below demonstrates what can happen when you neglect your snorkel.
